THE RENUDE FOOD PROJECT

Mission: To foster connections between farmers and consumers, provide transparency throughout the food value chain and empower Canadians to better understand how food travels from farm gate to their dinner plates.

Purpose: Share relevant and accurate information to promote greater appreciation for Canadian food production.

Vision: To be a go-to resource for reliable and engaging information on Canada’s agricultural industry.

Why “Renude Food,” you may ask?

Renude Food's goal is to build trust in our food supply chain by “uncovering” ag and food facts, busting myths, and “renewing” your relationship with food.  All articles posted on this website are reviewed by sector experts to ensure information is accurate and reliable.

THE BLOGGER

My name is Kate Ayers and I am passionate about the ag industry, environmental sustainability, consumer education and healthy living!

Fortunately, I have been able to combine these loves through research, writing, posting content and running.

I graduated from the University of Guelph in 2017 with a bachelor's in agricultural science and now work as a freelance agricultural journalist.

I am also pursuing my goals as an elite track and field athlete with sights set on Olympic qualification. I train in Victoria, B.C.

I look forward to sharing interesting and useful information to help you learn more about who produces your food and how it’s produced, where your food comes from, and how it gets to your local grocer.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, I would be more than happy to hear from you!

Happy reading :)
